What It Means To Me

alistair begg describing what happens when asking what a text means becomes "outdated" (it has) and someone starts looking at the scriptures for "what it means to me":
...deconstruct the bible on the strength of "what it means to me". so that it won't be the affirmations in which we believe but it will be the sensations that are engendered, the things that we begin to feel, the stimulants that come our way and before we know where we are, we have embibed so much of the spirit of the age that we are unable to counteract it, because we are actually drinking at the same fountain.
